Newsletter For December 2016

 Object Talk Competition

 JR. KG students participated in the Object Talk Competition on        December 6, 2016.  Students brought an object of their choice based on the theme- Musical Instruments and spoke few sentences about it.  The students participated in this competition with enthusiasm and were overjoyed to deliver their learning on stage.  The participants were congratulated for their excellent efforts.                                                                                                

Recitation Competition

Recitation competition was organized on the 7th and 8th of December, 2016, for the nursery students. All the students participated enthusiastically.  It was a great feeling to see the way most of the children displayed their new found vocabulary and expressing themselves using action. 

Handwriting Competition

Handwriting competition was conducted on December 13, 2016 for the preprimary students. All the students participated in this competition. They were judged on the basis of letter formation, neatness and  presentation. Children put their best foot forward and participated  enthusiastically.

Community Helpers Day

 Community Helpers’ Day was celebrated on December 16, 2016.  The day was celebrated to create awareness about the role of helpers in our day-to-day life. The preprimary kids came dressed as community helpers to show their respect and gratitude for the people who make our living comfortable. Some came dressed as vegetable vendors, farmers, doctors, teachers, police officer, etc.  Teachers also educated the children about the role of helpers in our life.

Master Trainers’ Training Workshop on Classroom Management

A workshop on Classroom Management for Master Trainers was organized by CBSE, Pune, on the 16th and 17th of December, 2016 at Ramseth Thakur Public School,Kharghar. The workshop dealt on crucial aspects of students’ learning in school. The teachers were enlightened with techniques to face various challenges in the teaching-learning process. Classroom management and disciplining techniques were also the key aspects of the workshop. This interesting as well as enriching workshop was attended by Mrs. Revati Negi.

Celebration of Maths week

Maths week was celebrated with full vigour and enthusiasm from the 19th to 23rd of December, 2016. Teachers from Mathematics Department conducted various activities for each class to make this week special.   Students of Std I performed a skit based on 3 Dimensional shapes which was an attention grabber activity of the week. This special week’s Sparkie Champions were Azlaan Dond from VI-C and Divesh Khatwani from IV-B.

Launch of BSK Social Media Pages and Revamped Website

On 19th December 2016, amidst invited dignitaries from Century Rayon, Birla College and Media personnels, BSK’s revamped website and Social Media pages were launched. BSK now has its Facebook page, youtube channel, and BSK blog which will help parents, students and teachers connect better. The website was launched by the Chief Guest, Smt. Santoshi Chitlange, who also inaugurated the virtual ATM machine in the school to help students get an hands on experience about ATM  transactions. The event was covered by many leading newspapers. The event was live on Facebook with an instant connect with the  stakeholders.

Christmas Celebrations

 The corridors vibrated with the echoes of Christmas carols on the occasion of Christmas celebration on December 22, 2016.  It wore a festive look with the bells, stars, balloons, Santa Claus pictures, beautifully decorated Christmas trees, etc. Children looked delighted wearing the Santa cap and dressed in red and white-spreading their innocence through the perfect Christmas look.  A small skit was put up by the teachers to let them know about the birth of Lord Jesus Christ. The true spirit of ‘share and care’ was the soul of the celebration. Many activities like colouring the   Christmas bells and a star made of popsicles were also done by the children.Students were thrilled on receiving the christmas gifts.
