Sr No. Class Mode of Assessments
1. Nursery to Sr. KG 1) No formal examinations.
2) Teachers will evaluate the students through worksheets, oral questions, activities and their involment in the learning process throughout the year.
2. I and II 1) No formal examinations.
2) Teachers will evaluate the students through comprehensive worksheets.
3) There are total seven evaluations in a year.
4) Parents will be giving regular feedback during open days.
3. III and V 1) No formal examinations.
2) weekly tests will be conducted every Tuesday as per the schedule given in the diary.
3) Four evaluations will be conducted every year. 2nd evaluation (Sep/Oct) will be based on the entire syllabus of 1st term and 4th evaluation will be based on the entire syllabus coverded in the 2nd term.
4) Time table and syllabus will be provided accordingly well in advance.
5) Evaluations will be done through comprehensive worksheets based on subjectwise criteria.
SCHOLASTIC ASSESMENTS (VI to VIII)
The assesments structure for classed VI to VIII is as follows:-
1. Term I (100 marks) 1st half of the session 1. Periodic Test (5 marks) with syllabus covered till July end.
2. Multiple Assessment (5 marks).
3. Notes submission (5 marks) in 1st tems.
4. *Subject Enrichment activities (5 marks) in 1st term.
5. Half yearly exams (80 marks) based on the syllabus covered in 1st term.
2. Term II (100 marks) 2nd half of the session 1. Periodic Test (5 marks) with syllabus covered after half yearly exam.
2. Multiple Assessment (5 marks).
3. Notes submission (5 marks) in 2nd tems.
4. *Subject Enrichment activities (5 marks) in 2nd term.
5. Half yearly exams (80 marks) based on the syllabus covered as per following details:-

Class VI - 10% of the 1st term syllabus of significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term.
Class VII - 20% of the 1st term syllabus of significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term.
Class VIII - 30% of the 1st term syllabus of significant topics + entire syllabus of 2nd term.
*These are subject specific actvities aimed at enhancing the understanding and skills of the students.

Co-Schloastic Assessments (3 point Grading Scale)

Children will be assessed for regularity, sincere participation, output and teamwork in the following areas :-
  • a. Work Educations refers to skill based activities.
  • b. Art Education (Visual and Performing).
  • c. Health and physical Education (Sports/ Martial Arts/ Yoga etc.)
Discipline (3 point grading scale)

Children will be assessed for attendance, sincerity, values and behavior.

SCHOLASTIC ASSESSMENTS (IX to X)
Periodic Tests 1. 3 written tests will be conducted a year with cumulative syllabus for each subject.
2. Average of the best two tests to be taken for final result.
Multiple Assessment Includes Oral tests, field work, discussions, concept maps, etc.
Subject Enrichment Activities Suggestive activities will be conducted by the concerned teachers.
Portfolio i) A portfolio is a purposeful collection of selective
significant samples of student work/achievements.
ii)Criteria for Assessment
Organization - Neatness and Visual appeal, completeness,
Evidence of students growth, completion of guided work.
Annual Exams (80 marks)
1) For Std IX :- It will be conducted in the school based on 100% syllabus taught in a year.

2) For Std X :- Board will conduct the Annual Examination for 80 marks in each subject covering 100% syllabus of the subject taught in a year in class X.

*Marks and grades will be awarded for individual subjects.

 

Promotion Rules (IX & X)
A student has to score minimum 33% marks out of 100 marks in the Annual Examination in each subject.
Assessment of Co-scholastic areas (IX & X)
1) Students will be graded on a 5 point grading scale (A to E) for
a) Art Education
b) Health and physical Education (Sports/Martial Art/Yoga etc)
2)Discipline (Attendance, Sincerity, behavior and values) :- Children will be assessed on a 5 point grading scale (A to E).
Class -XI
1. The assessment of the student for the promotion will be based on his/her percentage marks in each subject in the following exams/ tests.

2. In class XI, the student has to pass separately in theory and practical.

3. The student has to score minimum 33% marks in each subject to be promoted to XII.

4. If a student fails in theory exam, he / she has to take compartment exam only in theory and need to score 33% marks in overall average.

Class - XII
1. The student has to obtain atleast 33% marks in each subject in All India Senior Secondary Certificate Examination conducted by CBSE.

2. He / She has to pass separately in theory and practical.

3. If student fails in one subject, he / she has to take compartment examination in the month of July. If a student fails in two or more subjects, he / she is declared fail and has to repeat class XII.
